I can't possibly say enough about my "Jaeda". She was my constant buddy since the day I got her. I purchased Jaeda as a 7 week old puppy, and poor Jaeda was my training guinea pig. She had to put up with all my training bloopers and retraining errors as I got my feet wet in the sport of schutzhund. Throughout, she always gave me 100% plus of what I asked for.
Jaeda's temperament was flawless. She was 100% stable - with excellent nerves. This dog went absolutely everywhere with me - and nothing ever rattled her. She was always appropriate - regardless of the setting or situation that you put her in. Anyone that met this dog fell in love with her - it was impossible not to.
Jaeda had an inborn willingness to please, a desire to work, and a ton of ball, food and prey drive. She was incredibly intelligent, kind, social and had an excellent work ethic. She was truly an ambassador for the breed. She rose to the occasion at every competition - always passing with flying colours. She holds titles in the sport of schutzhund, as well as in CKC obedience, tracking, herding with sheep and also possesses temperament and "Canine Good Citizen" certificates. Jaeda won High Schutzhund 1 at the 2001 Ontario Regional Championship, as well as wining High Obedience In Trial at that same event.
Jaeda proved to everyone she met that German Shepherds can be smart, sensitive, obedient, loving and kind. Jaeda retired with good friends of mine, Tracey & Tim Hill, and their children Jordan & Jessica. She was thoroughly spoiled and fussed over - which is exactly what this wonderful dog deserved. I saw her on a regular basis - and am so thankful to the Hill family for giving her such wonderful care and individual attention in her golden years. There will never be another dog as kind and forgiving as my Jaeda - nor as intelligent. Jaeda lived to be 13 years old. She had a stroke and sadly had to be put down but was 100% healthy, active and energetic to the end. I regret to this day that I did not breed her as she was a super dog with health, temperament, flawless nerves and excellent drives.
